HEALTH, DIGNITY AND PARTICIPATION

KaiVie Care: Menstrual Health Education in Kenya

KaiVie Care advances health, dignity and educational participation through sustainable menstrual products, inclusive health education and healthcare navigation.

Dignity Should Not Depend on Income

A lack of menstrual products and accurate health information can affect confidence, participation and school attendance.

KaiVie Care goes beyond product distribution. It combines material support with knowledge, stigma reduction and pathways to appropriate professional care.

What the Programme Does

Sustainable Product Distribution

We provide reliable access to appropriate reusable menstrual products, including high-quality reusable pads and menstrual cups where suitable.

Menstrual Health Education

Young people receive age-appropriate information about menstruation, hygiene, body awareness and when to seek professional support.

Inclusive Education

Girls and boys participate in relevant learning sessions to reduce misinformation, teasing and social stigma.

Healthcare Access and Navigation

Young people are helped to understand available healthcare pathways and the importance of appropriate preventive and professional care.

Supportive Community Conversations

We engage educators, families and community leaders because lasting menstrual dignity requires informed environments.

Our Approach to Product Choice

Menstrual products are not one-size-fits-all. Programme implementation should consider age, personal choice, water and sanitation access, product-care requirements, cultural context and guidance from qualified health professionals.

Participants should receive clear instructions, the opportunity to ask questions and access to appropriate support.

Why Education Includes Boys

Menstrual health is a community issue. Including boys in suitable, age-appropriate education can reduce misinformation, teasing and stigma while supporting more respectful schools, families and communities.
